Retirement Jobs for Seniors, is Part Time Work Online an Option?

Are you like me and over 40 years old?

Looking to either retire someday instead of having to work a part time job for the rest of your life to supplement your pension and/or social security that won't be enough or just barely enough?

Retirement Jobs for Seniors, is Part Time Work Online an Option?

I say, Yes it is not only an option but that it's an amazing way to earn an income and be able to do it on your own terms as well.

Wouldn't being able to learn and earn on the internet with a Part Time Work Online Business be much more desirable than the other options that most who retire face?

How many retirees do you see on a daily basis working in the following jobs:

  • Wal-Mart GreeterRestaurant Waitress
  • Waitress
  • Security Guard
  • Goodwill
  • Salvation Army
  • Fast Food Joint

I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with working at any of the above places part-time for a retiree is a bad thing, I'm just saying that there's a better way.

That better way is to share your knowledge, life experiences and passion while earning an income online being a blogger and utilizing Affiliate Marketing & you can learn as you earn with the same platform that I and over 1,300,000 members worldwide since 2005 have been able to.

I have been a member since June 2015 and absolutely love being able to write about what I love, earn online and also help Friends to earn an income online as well.

Sadly most Friends wait until they retire, then realize that what they thought was enough to get by during retirement isn't enough.  Although those Friends are still welcome and they can start earning online the best case scenario would be to get started now, before you retire.

I, myself am 52 years of age and because my body is beat up from serving in the United States Army as well as earning an income with other hard on the body jobs am now aching everyday with chronic arthritis and other things.  Thank God I have found a way to earn an income online and I can do it when I want to while living life instead of being on someone's clock and at their mercy.

Start now so that when and if you do retire from your “Real” job that you'll have an income that is steadily growing and becoming passive as well as residual income.  Have your online business built and then you'll be able to travel the world during your retirement because your office will be wherever you want it to be as long as you have an internet connection.  Today our android cell phone, laptop, iPad or iPhone are not only for texting, taking pictures and talking with, we also use them for facebook, Instagram etc….

Remember when you thought that you would never be on Facebook and when it seemed like such a steep learning curve?

It's the same way with Affiliate Marketing and Blogging, at first it sounds like a rough time and an impossible to accomplish feat.  The great thing about the Affiliate Marketing Community that I am a part of is that not only will I be there and available to assist you when you have questions, the entire community will be as well.

Getting started is the key, start now!

Getting started is free and you can also remain a Free Starter Member as long as you need and/or want to be, it isn't a Free Starter Trial Membership.

  1. Getting a part-time work is one thing most retiree do to supplement their pension. But then there is a great and better way to achieve this and it can be done at the very comfort of our home. I will urge all retiree to check out at the online area as a means to earn passive income and to assist them all the way.

  2. Yeah you’re right, Tony. When seniors use their knowledge and experience to educate people, they will feel more alive and satisfying than working in one of those jobs. I’m not a senior yet but I’m preparing my way before that time. Working from home by passing your knowledge and earning I think is the best feeling ever.

  6. Those who retire i.e. senior citizens can earn part-time online from home. And that is why there is an opportunity for them to earn good money by training from Wealthy Affiliate and doing affiliate marketing. These senior citizens can become proficient in training from this platform at home for which they have to pay a very small amount of cents. Affiliate marketing is very popular nowadays so the Wealthy Affiliate Program has brought a golden opportunity for them not to be lazy.

  14. Hello, Tony Lee, I think this article is great for older people who no longer want to be enslaved to their work, who have too much experience for someone younger to be their boss. Retirement is great, a person can finally get up when he wants after a long working life, do what he wants all day or do nothing. But it quickly gets boring, the lack of money makes it impossible for us to enjoy it as we would like. I think this fun way to make money in digital marketing is great for seniors.

  15. Hi Tony, and what a truthful point you have made. Retirement comes quickly and silently… until suddenly it is upon us. The spending we are used to is suddenly gone. What better way than to have something to fall back on. It is a steep learning curve. Anything is a steep learning curve if we are not native to it. If we have patience, we can work at it. And when you are retired you often have lots of time on hand to learn new things. Why not something that can make you money.

I do agree that Affiliate Marketing is a good way to earn money online, and at the same time do what you love to do. I myself I’m a part time Affiliate Marketer, started 23th of April 2020. As you can see I’m a beginner but let me tell you I have learned and achieved a lot. The freedom of working anywhere and being your own boss feels good. I’m not 40 but I hope to work on this until I retire. Years ahead.

There are many amazing things people can do online to provide value to others. It have a lot of benefits relocating your office life online, with no commuting, no office politics, no rush hour etc. And I see the Wealthy Affiliate platform as a great place to start with. Not afraid to do the time just need something less taxing physically.

Online hustles are a great idea for older people because you can combine them with travel and often they come with great time flexibility.

It is exactly as you say – this kind of work leads to nowhere.

At this age and time, it is still easy to learn certain skills online and once these skills are applied, one does not have to ask others for a job in his/her 60s or 70s.

This is perfect time to start with the online business.

Also, using bolded titles to start new thoughts.  I also click on load comments but nothing happens. In addition, in the middle of the post, there is a link or graphic that seems a bit out of place. I clicked on the profile button and it took me to an Instagram page. Not sure the intended purpose but perhaps you can look at it and center it on the page with some time of description.

  40. Good day Tony,

A very important discussion you have there!

Online work is definitely one of the top options for retirement. (Whether it’s part-time or full-time I think really depends on each individual person!) This type of work is safe in these trying times. You work from the comfort AND SAFETY of your home.

And sometimes many of us through the years have had accidents and incidents that have left our physical health not in the best of conditions.

It’s just that many senior people struggle to learn new technologies. (No person alive today was “born before technology”!)

    Cheers!

Had I read this article after I was scammed several times and ripped off my money, maybe I would have waived these words as another one of those promos that promise much but give little if any. But I know better now because I am lucky enough to be a member and am happily working my way up in the training (step-by-step) as I know I couldn’t have made a better investment. Not only does it offer extreme flexilbility to work whenever and from wherever you choose, it is also a great way to keep your brain active and a way to connect with others.

The best part is the opportunity for you to improve the life of others. As an affiliate marketer myself I have referred others to Wealthy Affiliate, and I have had the pleasure of seeing them create great online businesses that they can benefit from for many years.

If you’re over 40 and starting to wonder how to prepare for retirement, I don’t think there could be a better way than to invest your time now in building your affiliate marketing business.

  45. Hello. Although I am not near the age of retirement,my father is. He has recently gone on retirement and a few time the question has come up ” what are you going to do now “? Unfortunately, most that go on retirement can not afford to just sit back and relax for the remainder of their lives. They still have to ” stir the pot ” – so to speak. Looking at a online business or working in collaboration with others with a online business is something I believe has allot of appeal to people such as retirees. I believe this is where ” age is just a number ” really rings true. You can be any age and sill be able to successfully have a online business ( like affiliate marketing ). Great article and information – I will definitely pass this info on.

Hi!  I like the idea of Seniors working in the comfort of their home, in their most convenient time.  In addition to that, I think it’s a perfect venue for them to share all the wisdom and experiences they have to many people. I am in my early 30’s but I love talking and mingling with people older than myself. They just have a lot of things to share and offer to the younger ones.

And one thing I discovered about them, “They do not want to be stagnant, doing nothing.  This one might help them a lot since they will be learning new things and at the same time, follow what they are passionate about.

  49. Hi Tony,

I have read your article and found it to be interesting.  Why? because having financial freedom before retirement is one of my goal.  It is nice to give advise to people that they have passive income / residual income before their retirement.  As what my grandfather said, “Work hard while you are young, so that when you are old you can live comfortably.  We should do our best to work hard while we can because when we grow old, we will have a hard time working when we have some ailments.

Just a question for to add more ideas.  What are your suggestion to earn and work online that will help you prepare for our retirement.?

Nice Work. Keep on going !!!.

    Stay Safe. God Bless.

You are right, we seniors don’t have to wait until we are retired to look for a part time job that we can still earn from.

I myself have started blogging and vlogging, although I do it slowly now because I still have a full time job and my family to take care of.

Retiring 2 years from now is my goal so I can also travel more with my family and visit my parents more frequently.

I’m enjoying growing my audience in my website and my you tube channels and hopefully they can bring me enough revenues in my retirement.

    God bless,

I haven´t earn a cent, YET. But I got all my golden age to wait till clicks. So I fell I came here for good. So, I am encouraging to have a try as an affiliate marketer and see what happens.

  55. Thank you Tony for sharing the post on retirement jobs for seniors. It is better for the seniors to do online business to have extra passive income to complement their pension funds. The pension money is not sufficient to keep them going for the rest of their lives as it is insufficient. It is better that they do online business in Wealthy Affiliate to enhance their financial status to keep them going for the rest of their pension life. It is also better that, in their online business with Wealthy Affiliate, they can write post on their past experience and share with the WA community. The seniors vast experience in different fields can be shared through the blog post and shared with the WA community. They will also make passive income in a long run and keep them financially secured for the rest of their pension life.

It is very true that when you stop working is when you die, there are lots of works seniors can do after their retirement at home without going through at form of stress whatsoever, this enables them to still engage their brain and also gave the sense of wanting to achieve something even at their old age.

  63. Part time jobs for seniors. This is a good topic to write about. Who wants to stand on their hind legs for hours being a wal mart greeter or a waitress? Certainly does not appeal to me. I would much rather do online research into a niche market to grow a passive income, where I earn money when I’m sleeping or sitting round a pool on holiday. All you need is an internet connection.

  64. Of course, the fact that one has reached retirement doesn’t mean that one should stop working. There are many online jobs that offer part-time and full-time offers where one can make some reasonable amount. I am sure the retirees will find something for themselves from this list you have here. I think affiliate marketing is definitely the best though.

I’d love to turn my part time work as an affiliate marketer into a full time job that I love doing.

I see way to many retirees working at those types of jobs and don’t want to join them there, either.

It’s too uncomfortable for me to stand for any length of time so I don’t know how I would even manage at any of those types of jobs.

I really think it is important to stay engaged no matter what age you are. This article doubles down on that. There is always something to do online to keep you active but also earn income at the same time!

This is my favorite part out of the whole article!

“That better way is to share your knowledge, life experiences and passion while earning an income online being a blogger and utilizing Affiliate Marketing & you can learn as you earn with the same platform that I and over 1,300,000 members worldwide since 2005 have been able to.”

Keep the knowledge flowing! We lose sooo much by not sharing our experiences in way way or another. I think this is a blockbuster idea to share the wealth of knowledge that is left untapped.

Many old folks tend to stick to old ways of solving problems and I m sure that is where the saying that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks comes from. Sadly the rat race leaves most pensioners with minimum disposable income to enjoy their retirement. Part time work online is really a key for old folks to earn extra bucks but with most of them scared of the internet and with many scammers out there, they really need guidance and protection.

Retirement is unfortunately a very sensitive topic. Indeed, nowadays we all need to think about it. The 9-to-5 job doesn’t guarantee that we will get a fair retirement wage, so it’s mandatory to find a way to get some savings now. If somebody who is familiar with computers and the internet will follow the training you talk about, that person can learn very valuable information and earn money without the pressure of a 9-to-5 job.

The best-case scenario is you are working for yourself and not for everyone else. It’s just having your own business, but just like every business, you have to insert time, effort, and resources. So for those retirement job seekers or even those aspiring online entrepreneur, this is the best time to start. And to those who are soon to retire, this will takes time to learn every detail. 99. There are many options for seniors to supplement their income with part-time jobs.  The ones you mentioned are pretty typical because they are usually easy to get and are designed for the senior.  There are also opportunities to earn an income part-time using the skills that one developed over many years.  And many companies have embraced this since skilled labor is so hard to find.

Seniors who work part-time find meaning to their retirement years so it is almost a necessity if one wants to live a fuller life in retirement.

Earning money online is indeed an excellent choice but it comes with many inherent problems.

For one, the senior community is not as tech-savvy as the younger generation.  But this can be overcome with training if the person is willing.  That is the key to finding a way to earn online the willingness to adapt and learn new things.

All things considered, the senior market has a lot of room for development.  Today more and more people cannot live on the retirement plan they have, the increase and cost of living keep taking more and more of your funds, so those who are in that age group are looking at ways to supplement their income.

I agree that while there is nothing wrong with one of the traditional senior jobs such as a greeter, affiliate marketing offers some incredible benefits that those jobs cannot. During the covid19 crisis, another benefit emerged–the ability to work from home, away from pandemic issues. Of course, being in public always places us in the danger zone for picking up viruses and such. Now the risk is greater. But there are also fewer jobs available now, making work from home even more enticing.

    Great information and quite timely!

I love to learn new things so does my hubby, and if I said I did it all in my life, let me tell you, it would not be far from the truth. I began learning the internet in 1998 with a monitor that used cathode ray tubes (CRTs). I began to learn how to use the word programs and emails and such. The short version is that I have learned a lot of sophisticated programs already, and with affiliate marketing, I will learn even more. This is my quest: learning new technology. And if you gave me a choice between working as a greeter at Walmart, though I love greeting people, I would pick writing at a computer to earn my living. Great article, Tony.

Affiliate marketing will be a great way for a lot of seniors to make their life busy instead of just sitting down and watching TV most of the time when at home.  Their life can be very productive and learning something new will stimulate their mind and will make them feel very useful while at the same time they can still make money and bring happiness to themselves.  Nancy Pelosi is a very good example.  She is still working and seemed enjoying herself doing what she is doing. She is over 80 years old.  Awesome!  Thank you for the post.  Will pass share your post with someone I know that might be interested.

  131. You brought out a very relevant issue that we have as we age. Unlike previous generations where you worked for one company for your whole working life and retired on a fat pension, today the reality is vastly different. Most people change jobs a lot during their working life. And most companies do not offer the pension benefits like before. And if they do, changing jobs often doesn’t allow ones retirement income to grow.

I was laid off before I reached retirement age when my pensions would lick in. Hence, I had to take any old job and settled as a cashier at Walmart. I dropped from a 6 figure income to low 5 figures. When all my pensions kicked in I retired and we are now able to live pension to pension just about. Therefore, working from home via an online business is a God Send.

Anyone should have a backup plan with an online business like affiliate marketing. Most importantly, retired folk like me should be doing this. And I am 74. You are never too old to start fresh. But this time you are your own boss!

    Cheers.

What sort of help can you provide in setting up my website and choosing my niche?

After a while I began to get tired of the morning and evening traffic, having to get dressed and go out. Also there were days when I would have preferred to start work later or take time off to engage in my hobbies, but that wasn’t happening. I left the job and am now at home trying to get into online work. Your article is very encouraging and it makes me want to put more energy into what I am doing. That’s ok because now I can also attend to my hobbies.

Everyone will not see this as a path because to find it they have to be ready to learn and implement new changes.  They need to shift their understanding of how the world works. I am glad that there are people like you that share so many different ways to make money.

So anyone can make money at any time with any of your suggested programs as long as they are passionate about it.

Well, I believe that online business is so suitable as part of the retirement plan. I am always telling my mom about Wealthy Affiliate which you are part of as well, and yesterday she asked me if it was in English only. I wish there is something similar in Serbian so my mom can do it as well. I think that online business is suitable for everyone and the WA helps everyone learn no matter age, education, and profession.

Who doesn’t want to work on their own terms?
specially people with life experience, knowledge base which they have built over years can come come as great assets to help them. Believe it or not, there are job discriminations in real world jobs. Internet marketing which sounds daunting at the beginning does not discriminate people based on age, race and what.

Wealthy Affiliate teaches you all and offer tools you need to start the business and progress with it. Start free to taste the smell of having your own website built in seconds in front of your eye and then you have the entire world to communicate with. 140. This is a perfect way for retirees to make a good part-time income on their own terms.  Some of my very best friends I’ve made through affiliate marketing are in the 50 plus age range. I guess that makes sense, since I am one of them. Affiliate marketing is going to allow me to retire from my day job the day before my 55th birthday—which is this coming November! There is no better feeling than knowing I can make a great income and retire early!

Throughout my affiliate marketing journey I have been pleased to find other fellow marketers that are over the age of 60, which is an amazing and inspiring thing for the younger generation, it gives us hope and an outlook on what can be possible and achievable after, or even before, retiring. Affiliate marketing is a good solid start to anyone out there who wants to expand their knowledge, help others and earn some extra money on the process of creating content.

This is a GREAT article! I think this is a great idea too. You provided some great examples on how people in retirement can go about creating a part time online business. With the platform, Wealthy Affiliates that you mentioned, that is an excellent way to get integrated into an online business and will provide all the training necessary to be successful. I hope this post reaches a large audience!

  143. Everything you said is spot on, Tony. Most people think that retirement or old age is far away so most become complacent about it. They just wake up one day they are 50 60 year old with not enough savings on the bank and now they are panicking.

It is better to start at this moment and learn the ropes in affiliate marketing and become familiar with it because it is going to be a marathon. If you start now you have a better chance of succeeding because eventually, everything will move to digital platforms. It is not easy but it is doable.

Yes, it is a great way to earn money, for anyone!  When you said .82 cents a day, that is a pretty good bargain for all the training you get.  You are right, people should start early, build up a residual income.  Then live your senior years, or heck even your 30s and 40s enjoying life.  It is totally achievable.

Seeing some really impressive things about working online and making passive income is just what I would like to do since I can go anywhere I I’m at with my business in my laptop. 150. Hi Tony, I agree that affiliate marketing seems to offer retirees a chance for additional income during retirement and leveraging their skills, experience, and knowledge. I started on this track just over a year ago, but only really seriously for the last four months or so. However, I do think that the widespread experience of the coronavirus lockdown is that many people who used to commute to work can work remotely from anywhere. I still have a day job and I am connected with my team and my organization. and it is working. I even have colleagues who travelled overseas to be with close family and are working successfully from there. I do think this lockdown experience will open up other part-time employment opportunities for retirees, still leveraging their skills, knowledge and experience but working in the field where they worked before retiring. I would even see this phenomenon, of connecting retirees with skills with companies with needs as a growth industry itself. One thing is certain. The widespread remote working experience will change the world of work. I think that retirees will be able to benefit from this. Thanks for an interesting review. Best regards, Andy

Working online barely takes any physical strength, so its best for old timers.

Especially as it takes a lot of mental energy, and the older you are, the more experience you have, the more you can do online.

Not only for old people, working online is the best for everyone!

Blogging can be a great way for seniors. They can express the life long learned opinion and can get compensation for that. Of course this may not be the options for all seniors because I see some of them enjoying interactions with other people that is why we see them as volunteer or meet and greet. Still it is a solid option for them.

For a percentage of Seniors who are retired or who are in that planning for retiring phase and perhaps already have enough time on their hands to commit to 12, 15, or more hours a week to learn about websites and online marketing, the opportunity your post describes might be appealing. Describing your background experience prior to 5 years ago as well as pointing out that you have found a viable alternative to what you used to have to do certainly adds to the attractiveness of the invitation. The reassurances of a virtually ‘no-cost’ trial period with the promise of lots of support should overcome the reluctance of anyone who has a concern about getting hooked into any significant level of investment before seeing a return.

I wish you good luck in building your team.

It is truly incredible that you have illustrated this topic so well in your article. I have learned a lot by reading your article and gained a lot of knowledge about it. Of the points mentioned in your article, I like affiliate marketing. Currently, affiliate marketing is a popular way to make money at home. So I would say that those seniors should do this affiliate marketing after they retire. That’s why I would tell everyone to join Wealthy Affiliate Platform as soon as possible to learn affiliate marketing.

  156. I believe that when a senior is about to retire, it is only advisable that they  consider starting off as a per time online business before going in full time. While at the first stages, they would be able to learn all the books and cranny of the business and also get to familiarize themselves with how it actually works. So when they are done, they can fully become sort of the whole package.

  158. Easily one of the best decisions I made for retirement has been Wealthy Affiliate for learning how to work and build a business online.  For openers, I immediately found a community of supportive people who were knowledgable and working business owners.  They offered help and advice that was based on successful practices they were using themselves to make money online.  An unexpected benefit I found?  I had no time to want to buy craft supplies, or bake sweets we didn’t need.  These are all things that cost money.  At the end of the month, I was spending less, with the annual payment than I spent before.  I feel ready for retirement now.

    Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!

You reached out to a lot of people who might be feeling a little down.

In this day and age, “dog eat dog” selfishness is on the rise, and one of the consequences is the appalling way older people are treated by the insecure young.

This generation of people coming of age, has no respect for themselves, each other, or anybody. They are self-destructive.

It’s nothing new, but this time it has the potential to be the worst ever. Looking on Twitter they seem oblivious.

I’m not that old and I still have hope. This is a great thing you offer in a way that people will listen to.

    Well done, keep going.

There are many part time work online that can be so easy and nice for them to be a part of. I think it is a very good idea, the most important thing is training them to identify scam so that they don’t end up being scammed.

  161. I think the answer is yes. It’s a brilliant opportunity in retirement as I am afraid pensions just cannot be depended on any longer. I have to say though that digital help is needed for people at the upper end as they feel very wrongly that they are not skilled enough and yet in my view of course they are, they have life skills and get to tell stories. The technical side can be supported.

As an aside though can you believe my Mum still does not have broadband. No me neither. I think she is the exception though. This is a brilliant opportunity.

A lot of friends in their 50s have said the same as well.

  167. Tony, this is such an important topic. Thank you for discussing it. Many of my relatives are retired seniors barely scraping by on social security. My great uncle can’t afford to have people do his yardwork. He’s in his 80s and tried to cut down a large tree branch by himself. He miscalculated where it would fall, and it landed on top of his wife, breaking her collarbone, sternum, several ribs, and impaling her liver. She lived, but this is the kind of thing that the elderly are forced to do if they don’t have enough money of their own. I’d help him but live across the country. So many lovely people could benefit from working online. Thank you for pointing it out. I’ll be in touch with him after my great aunt recovers (things are too stressful now).

They have so much knowledge to share due to their experiences in life that it would be a waste to just throw all that knowledge away. Of course it would be best not to wait before they retire before they start gradually building an online business but now that they are retired and did not build an online business they still have the chance to do that. That is why I like the online world as there are a lot of opportunities for both the old and the young. It is really amazing.

  170. In fact, some people will retire for a long period of time. They have to adjust their mentality to adapt to the discomfort caused by not working, and as they grow older, they will not look like young people have to passion like that; but some retired seniors I know, including my uncle, will find jobs they can do after retirement, such as learning new skills, writing books, traveling, etc.
My uncle also works online, he also writes books on Amazon, and some retired seniors are also learning online work or affiliate marketing, they do a great job.

I love my full-time job as I work for myself and am only looking at retiring in 15 years’ time, but by then I want to be able to say that I am truly financially free and I can live on my terms without worrying about a diminishing pension fund.

I think too few people think about retirement early on in life, and before they know it, its retirement time and they have not made a plan on how they are going to go forward from there.

Working online has given so many people opportunities that we have never had in the past, so we need to grab at them with both hands.

  175. Hi Tony,

with the way it is becoming more expensive to live, I think people have started looking towards earning money towards their retirement earlier and earlier.  Most pensions will not cover the costs, so finding something else where it is less physically active would benefit many, particularly those that cannot stand for long or have activities that are out of their remit.

The recommendation is ideal for those either already retired or thinking of a way of earning more towards their retirement.  Earning passive income from something you love is cool and doesn’t require huge technical knowledge if they follow your recommended training.

  176. Hi Tony, that is a great article. You are bringing awareness to the people about different alternatives to reach economic stability.
Some thing that always concerns me is the duality hurry/patience. Everybody say “the sooner, the better” and that opens the concern of doing much more if you began late at this. That idea compared to the opinion or advice of “take your own time at your own pace” seems to be against the former.
How do you manage to know if you are on the top of the rising wave of the trend or if you are dealing with the left overs of the discipline. I mean this in a sense that doing affiliate marketing and all the other kinds of make money online seem to respond according to the awareness of the marketplace which are basically the trends of the people buying now.
Since affiliate marketing has been since 2005, is it not outdated and, following that idea, requires more effort to stay up to date to engage with the current trends of the marketplace?
I don’t know if I made myself understand so please reply if something wasn’t clear.

Personally, I think building an online business through affiliate marketing is definitely the smartest choice for seniors, and in fact, anyone to earn an income because at the end of the day, it puts folks in the driving seat instead of being controlled by employers and governments who couldn’t really care less about people.

I say to senior citizens and anyone else reading this article – go with Wealthy Affiliate because it will enable you to live the life you want without any financial worries.

  188. Hi Tony,

That’s quite an encouraging post right there. Indeed, noone should despair because they are about to retire, or are retired.

I might not be quite there yet but when you talk about 40 I count about 6 years and so I’m not that far also.

True, working online can really be beneficial and full of freedom.

Another thing I find it does to us is to give us a chance to influence others with the different experiences that we have had. And that has generational potential.

Lastly, sorry about your condition and may the good Lord God heal you and minister to you as you do the same to others.

    Thanks.

The downside is that there are a lot of scammers out there, so you better look out for them.

On the upside, there are enough legit options to make some honest money on the side.

One of the best internet business support programs is the one with Wealthy Affiliate, guaranteed scam free and priced very reasonably.

The fact that you can join for free for one week to experience it firsthand is an absolute bonus!

The ability for seniors to supplement their retirement income is a big issue to most!

My granddad retired and then worked the next 20 years as a part time Custodian at 2 waffle house stores.

It’s really cool that you address the issue ! And even cooler that you suggest Wealthy Affiliate to these folks!

You see ironically I started my online businesses with Wealthy Affiliate and it has changed everything!

The simple platform and training might be important to some seniors who have not used the internet much. Wealthy Affiliate has the simplest to learn structure available whether you know a little or a lot!

  192. I couldn’t agree with you more! I think that having an online job is great.

I think that for some seniors the transportation to and from work is difficult, and the possible standing on their feet all day.

This seems like a great option, and really the best option.

I’m not a senior yet, but I am hoping to have an online blog going strong to live off of.

I think it just takes dedication and some work. But like you say, they are a wealth of knowledge, why not make an income sharing that knowledge?

  193. Tony,
Love your article regarding retirement jobs for seniors!

Reading your post is incredibly timely.

Literally yesterday I was talking to someone about retirement.

I am also in my early 50’s. Am I ready for retirement? Nope.

I’ve got a solid foundation but don’t feel comfortable with it so I’m working on some ways to create additional income, WA included.

My father and my father in law both worked for state institutions and are set for retirement, Most people aren’t.

    Great article, thanks for sharing!

Yes, our Fathers lived in a different time and their retirements are much more significant than what is the reality in today’s world.

We will continue to increase our income online with legitimate sites and share what we love on our own terms.

  195. I am also on the wrong side of 40 tony and whilst I think I have still got a few good years left in me I also think that a slower pace in life would be very much appreciated.

I started writing a whilst back as a way of sharing all that experience with the younger people who I see repeating all my mistakes over and over again.

Every now and then something I say sinks in and someone gets it which makes all the effort worthwhile.

Imagine what a legacy we could leave if everyone over the age of 50 started sharing with the world their stories and their life lessons.

Making a few bucks along the way can’t hurt either.

  197. Hi Tony!

I love this review because I’ve been talking to a number of folks about this recently.

As a young entrepreneur with soon-to-be-retired parents, I talk to them often about their desires to travel, but money is often an obstacle.

With their experience in their respective careers, I think many seniors are actually uniquely positioned to offer a great deal of insight through part-time online work.

I like how you’ve shown that it’s worked for you! Also, thank you very much for your service!

    Cheers!

I am very glad you are pointing out to seniors how they could make the extra money they need while in retirement.

Being part of Wealthy Affiliate is so much easier and more profitable than a job like a Walmart greeter for example would be.
